PIEDMONT, ITALY

A continuous thread, spanning two centuries, reaches the present day, where Paola and Piera, the current owners of the "Francesco Rinaldi & Figli" company, have been responsible for bringing the Rinaldi winery's prestige to overseas. The history of the Rinaldi company begins in the second half of the 19th century, in 1870 to be precise, when Francesco Rinaldi's father, Giovanni, purchased a farmhouse located in Cannubi, one of the most celebrated subzones of the Barolo denomination. In 1922, Francesco Rinaldi took over the reins of the company, simultaneously beginning to produce wines that have been distinguished by their high quality ever since: a tradition that has been perpetuated from father to son, from generation to generation, until reaching the current all-female management. The company's vineyards, currently covering a total of approximately eleven hectares, are divided into various plots, all of which enjoy exceptional exposure and microclimate conditions. These conditions allow the Nebbiolo grape in particular, but also the Barbera and Dolcetto, to express themselves in ways unmatched elsewhere. In the cellar, the philosophy pursued is closely tied to the most ancient traditions of the Piedmontese Langhe, meaning that after vinification, the finest Barolos are aged in large Slavonian oak barrels. At the same time, the most advanced winemaking technologies are employed, always applied with the utmost respect for nature and the seasons. The sum of all this results in simply excellent wines, capable of meeting the highest quality standards typical of the finest Piedmontese wines, but above all, capable of telling a story of profound passion for their work and unconditional love for their land. A story in which the labels of the “Francesco Rinaldi & Figli” winery become synonymous with the best of the Piedmontese Langhe when it comes to wine.
