VAN DUZER CORRIDOR, WILLAMETTE VALLEY, OREGON
Lively, juicy red fruit (strawberries, raspberries) with intriguing earthy or spicy undertones, light body, and vibrant acidity.
Pairing recommendations: Mushroom risotto, roasted chicken, soft goat cheese, duck confit, or pork tenderloin.
The Grapes came from Pamar Vineyard in the Van Duzer Corridor. Strong winds, a combination of marine sediment and volcanic soils, and cooler growing conditions combine to produce wines with intense flavor, structure, and vibrancy. Pinot Meunier is grown mostly in Champagne for sparkling wine, but can also make an intriguing still wine. The Wine is soft and fresh with notes of pomegranate, blood orange, and cherry cobbler. On the nose, this wine presents brambly fruit accompanied by cedar needles and cocoa. The vibrant palate resembles chocolate-covered strawberries, fine chalky tannin, and a long citrus iced tea finish.
